My final school year at Mayflower High school, Mpumalanga

My final school year at Mayflower High school, Mpumalanga

Mayflower is a little settlement of our people that falls under the circuit cluster of Mpuluzi. Mayflower is one of the settlements that consists for four schools, two primaries and two High schools. One of which I matriculated in, Mayflower High school. Mayflower is a free gender place and has a lot of opportunities to its people, reason for this is, since the dawn of democracy several women became leaders of the community.

The school system was flexible not only, including and accommodating learners. The whole of the community would be involved in the programs set by the school Governing Body and the RCL student movement.

Mpuluzi is named after the river that flows throughout the community and it is the historical river to the communities around it. Unlike other communities Mayflower holds one of the greatest passing rate in the region Gert Sibande. I completed my metric in the year 2012 I studied the following subjects.
·         IsiSwati Home Language
·         English First Additional Language
·         History
·         Life Sciences
·         Mathematics
·         Tourism
·         Life Orientation

Educational Technologies were never used in our school because of reasons unknown to us. We developed theory learning and no practical of any nature. Mayflower is a rural developing area, and it’s of the neglected area during apartheid therefore the use of Technology is not yet available.
